Password gated Auto-expiry Click tracking

Password Protected Links

Add a password and optional expiry to any short link. Visitors must enter the correct password before they are redirected. Failed attempts are not counted as clicks.

Password Protected

The owner has restricted access to this link.

How it works

1
Paste your URL and expand options
On the homepage, paste your long URL and click "More options" or the advanced settings toggle.
2
Set a password
Enter a strong password. Optionally set an expiry date and time so the link stops working automatically.
3
Share the short link
Send the usfy.us short link to your intended recipients. Anyone without the password gets a prompt — not the destination.
4
Track authorised clicks only
Only successful password attempts are counted in your link analytics. Failed attempts don't inflate your numbers.

Best practices

Use strong passwords — avoid names, dates, or dictionary words.
Set an expiry — time-limited access is safer than indefinitely open links.
Change passwords for recurring campaigns rather than reusing old ones.
Share the password separately — don't include it in the same message as the link.

Common use cases

Internal documents
Lock HR policies, board decks, or internal reports behind a password before sending to the right team.
Client deliverables
Share design proofs, proposals, or reports exclusively with paying clients — no public access.
Time-limited offers
Run a flash-sale or early-access campaign that auto-expires when the deadline passes.
Private video links
Gate behind-the-scenes or premium video content with a password your audience receives by email.
